It is hard to imagine a more committed advocate for neglected and rarely performed composers than the pianist Oliver Triendl. His tireless commitment – primarily to romantic and contemporary music – is reflected in almost 150 CD recordings. Oliver Triendl has worked as a soloist with numerous renowned orchestras, including the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic, Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg and Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. As a passionate chamber musician, he has performed with fellow musicians such as Ana Chumachenco, David Geringas, Ilya Gringolts, Arto Noras, the Tetzlaffs, Carolin and Jörg Widmann as well as the Apollon musagète, Artis and Mandelring quartets, among others. Oliver Triendl – winner of several national and international competitions – was born in Mallersdorf (Bavaria) in 1970 and completed his studies with Rainer Fuchs, Karl-Heinz Diehl, Eckart Besch, Gerhard Oppitz and Oleg Maisenberg.
